Tax Litigation

We represent clients in all aspects of Federal, State, and local tax litigation, including Internal Revenue Service, Franchise Tax Board, State Board of Equalization, and California Employment Development Department audits, administrative appeals of those decisions, and litigation before the United States Tax Court, the United States District Courts, the Court of Federal Claims, the Federal appellate courts, the State Board of Equalization, and the California courts. We also represent clients in the litigation of various matters involving Federal estate tax and California inheritance issues, including estate valuation issues. The firm's tax litigation practice includes tax collection issues and tax issues arising in loan workout and insolvency cases (including bankruptcy proceedings).
