PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY

The firm’s Professional Liability Group is widely acknowledged to be among the best in California. Since 1975, the Group’s litigators have represented professionals in a wide variety of professional negligence claims. Our litigators have represented doctors, hospitals, nurses, clinics, laboratories, blood banks, nursing homes, lawyers, chiropractors, dentists, accountants, and other professions. Members of the Professional Liability Group have successfully represented professionals in jury trials throughout the San Joaquin Valley and Central Coast, and our success rate approaches 90 percent.

Members of the Professional Liability Group practice in all state and federal courts and are regularly invited to lecture on topics related to professional liability. Several members of the Group have published articles in the area and have served as consults for litigation publications. Attorneys in the Professional Liability Group are members of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) [ http://www.abota.org], The Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California [http://www.adcnc.org], the Defense Research Institute [http://www.dri.org], and other professional and civic organizations.

Our attorneys also represent and advise clients on the complex legal issues related to the “business” of today’s professional practice, including employment matters, contracts, business entity formation, real estate transactions, and tax. Members of the Professional Liability Group also represent clients in matters related to professional licensing, privileging and discipline.
